I’m so in love with this session. Feels like yesterday we were shooting Charlee’s newborn pictures, and here we are, already celebrating her first birthday. I have had the pleasure of documenting their entire first year together and it’s been so special. We’ve been friends for years, but we have really gotten to know each other on another level since I started shooting them. I had a very specific vision for this session, so we discussed and they were game for whatever (yeaay!!). I recruited one of my best friends and stylist extraordinaire, Lauren Cascio, to help with wardrobe, and we brought it all to life.
The best part, which I feel the need to share, is that it started off very chaotic… it often does when kids are involved. They had all been sick earlier in the week, Charlee had a blowout diaper on the way to the location, naturally there was some bickering, it was pure madness… And lot of people worry when this happens that their shoot is going to go horrible and the pictures won’t turn out great. But this session is a perfect example that once we start shooting, things always calm down. In fact, it ended up being one of my favorites and turned out lovely, if I do say so myself. I couldn’t narrow it down, I wanted to share a hundred more but I got it down to these. Hope you enjoy, and Happy Birthday Charlee!! You are beautiful.
