PHOTOGRAPHER | MAMA | LOVER OF LIGHT
Hi. I am so glad you're here. Thank you for taking the time to look at my work. There are few things in this world that make me happier than taking pictures. For me, the purest joy comes with creating art from everyday life.
To learn more about me and the way I work, keep reading...
Born in Honolulu, raised in Los Angeles
Third generation Californian, mama of two and a lover of exploration. Worshiper of the sun, and pretty much all things yellow. I love live music, wish I had the patience and time to learn how to play an instrument. Bare feet make me the happiest, I change my hair color often and I would rather go get a tattoo than a massage.
I was practically born with a camera in my hand. My parents would give me throw away cameras until I was old enough for a real one, and I'd rush to Thrifty's 1-hour photo and wait impatiently to see what would develop. This is how I spent a majority of my childhood, at least the ice cream was good.
Eventually I would grow up and work in television for 10+ years before a dear friend urged me to pursue photography more seriously. This was in 2010 and the rest is history. Ten years later, I can honestly say dedicating my life to photography and motherhood full time has been an absolute dream.
Let's get real...
My ideal subjects are open and honest, and pure. That doesn't mean you need to be comfortable in front of the camera right off the bat. I just ask that you be present. I want to connect, so I will ask questions and look for the things that put a sparkle in your eye. I will give direction, but I also might take a step back to see what happens naturally.
The chemistry you share with your photographer is so important. It's a relationship. The rapport I build with my clients is something I cherish and am humbled by with each passing year. I have gotten to know them and their families and it's beautiful. I encourage you to do your research and find a photographer you want to grow old with. Ha! Kidding. But seriously, it's important to like each other so you can have fun with it.
Whether it's a family session or a commercial shoot, the goal is always going to be epic pictures, so I will share all I have and guide you in every way I can to accomplish just that.
Now what?
First of all, if you are still reading I commend you. I love a person who does their homework. To inquire about booking, simply click 'get in touch' in the menu above and fill out the form to help me better serve you. I will reply as soon as I am able (usually 24-48hrs) and try to accommodate as best I can. Please keep in mind my schedule fills up quick so it is never too early to book.
Once we have decided on a date and confirmed your spot with a completed shoot agreement and deposit, I will send over my shoot prep guide and we can begin discussing details like time, location, etc. I have a list of carefully curated spots I love and frequent, but I am also open to ideas. Happy to offer advice on wardrobe as well, and of course answer any questions you have to make it a smooth shoot.
Soon, we will shoot and it will be awesome, and then I cull the images. Meaning I will pull all the best shots (which is usually far too many - sorry not sorry - still giving way too many after all these years) and I will get to editing! I do everything myself start to finish and I will usually deliver your gallery in roughly 3 or so weeks, give/take depending on the time of year. Rush editing and cosmetic retouching is available upon request at an additional cost.
