This session was in the works for a looooong time. This mama wanted wild flowers, and I wanted wildflowers for her!! Who doesn’t want wildflowers? Unfortunately, the spring bloom this year paled in comparison to last year. I searched and I scouted and most of what I found was less than ideal, not safe for the babes or too far a drive for a school night… So, we settled on this rural spot that kind of felt like the next best thing. As luck would have it, en route to our shoot – I spotted a small poppy field about 5 minutes away from our meet up spot, so we ended up doing both… and it all had me feeling so grateful on my drive home.
Grateful to spend my evenings in beautiful places capturing love within families. Grateful for clients who are down for adventures, even with 3 kids in tow(!!). Grateful for the wildflowers and for the wind – even though it can be annoying in the moment, it really does make for great pictures. Grateful for another successful year in business, another year doing what I truly love. Grateful for my family who wholeheartedly supports my wild ideas and free spirit. Just all around grateful, man. So much gratitude. So much.
